Product Generation

The core functions in Product Data Engine (PDE) deal with setting up the system to generate product data.

This process has 5 distinct parts and the functions for this are accessed via the main PDE menu under the first menu ‘Product Features, Range & Series’.

  1. Define Product Structure Elements: In this section, you set up each of the elements used in your product codes. These elements may be shared across multiple product ranges but you only need to define them once. Read More
  2. Configure Product Range: Each product range you manufacture will have its own part-numbering scheme and this is where you define how that scheme uses the Product Structure Elements and how it displays the features you will define in later steps to show on when pages and product data sheets. 3. Configure Product Series: Once you have defined a product range you can then create product series as children of that range. Read More
