Product Range

PDE Defines Products in a hierarchy and at the top is the product range. Each range can have many series under the range. So for instance a range might be Motor Control Devices and the range may have 3 separate series for “DC Motor Controller,” “AC Motor Drive,” or “Soft Starter”.

For each product range, we define:

1. The Product Code structure that will be used for that range (using the structural elements defined previously).
2. A friendly name for the range e.g. Motor Control Devices.
3. The way we want to group product codes generated by PDE in the product code viewing screen.
4. What features to show in the product feature lists on a) web pages and b) on data sheets.
